IFSO 2024 is proud to announce the hosting of a SCOPE School as part of this year’s pre-congress sessions, in collaboration with the World Obesity Federation!
SCOPE School is a one-day course providing a deeper understanding of effective patient management and the role of professionals in tackling obesity. It is a key component of the World Obesity Federation’s Strategic Centre for Obesity Professional Education (SCOPE), which also offers online training and certification and fellowship opportunities.
SCOPE Schools provide a unique opportunity for professionals to engage with experts in the field and understand the new challenges in obesity management. Taught by leading international experts, the sessions involve lectures, discussions, and debates, as well as opportunities to socialise and share experiences with experts and fellow students.
These intensive courses are designed for all health professionals interested in the management of patients with obesity, including primary care practitioners, physicians, surgeons, nurses, and integrated health professionals wishing to expand their knowledge in understanding obesity and obesity care.
Participants at SCOPE Schools earn credits towards SCOPE Certification: the only internationally recognised certification in obesity management.
